[tab title=”HaganaH F.I.G.H.T.”]
The HaganaH F.I.G.H.T. program provides the world’s only complete self-defense system with realistic, practical solutions for worst-case scenario attacks/threats. Students learn defenses against punches, kicks and other strikes, escapes and releases from chokes, bear hugs, head locks and other grappling techniques, defense against knive attacks, handguns threats and other weapons with explosive practical reality based tactics. Hudson Valley HaganaH exposes you to the entire core system in just a 18 week rotation which mirrors the Israeli Defense Forces.
Students are drilled to create a mindset that reacts to a violent assault by immediately switching from a victim to an aggressor. Every touch is designed to create damage. Every tactic has both a defensive and offensive element. Techniques are overlapped to “short-circuit” and overwhelm the attacker. THERE ARE NO RULES of engagement. Every technique builds on instinctive responses.
The HaganaH teaching approach is designed to mirror military style teaching while recognizing the time demands and typical fitness levels of the working adult. The curriculum is simple to learn and presented in a comprehensive realistic manner. All material will ultimately rely on muscle memory so the scenarios are therefore short, sweet, and to the point. Students will not have to memorize 100 different techniques that they will ultimately forget when the time to comes to REACT UNDER STRESS!
The HaganaH F.I.G.H.T. program is taught to civilians, law enforcment and military personnal. Just about anyone can do it, regardless of strength, size, or physical fitness. You’ll get in great shape, have an absolute blast and get the same kind of confidence of the proffessionals. The confidence that comes from knowing you can handle whatever situation you might encounter. It’s confidence that comes out not only in physically threatening situations (which will hopefully never occur) but also in your daily life. We include upgraded and evolved scenario training. Our system is continually enhanced and combat proven!

[tab title=”Brazilian Jiu Jitsu”]
Hudson Valley HaganaH is proud to be under the leadership of one of Brazils finest, Professor Marcel Meleiro, Nova Uniao first generation 3rd Degree Black Belt under Andre Perneiras. We are the Pennsylvania state representative for Meleiro Jiu Jitsu.
Upholding the premise that most of the advantage of a larger, stronger opponent comes from superior reach and more powerful strikes, both of which are mitigated when grappling on the ground, Brazilian jiu-jitsu emphasizes getting an opponent to the ground in order to use ground fighting techniques and submission holds involving joint-locks and chokeholds. A more precise way of describing this would be to say that on the ground, physical strength can be offset or enhanced by an experienced grappler who knows how to maximize force using mechanical advantage instead of pure physical strength.
BJJ permits a wide variety of techniques to take the fight to the ground after taking a grip. While other combat sports, such as Judo and Wrestling almost always use a takedown to bring an opponent to the ground, in BJJ one option is to “pull guard.” This entails obtaining some grip on the opponent and then bringing the fight or match onto the mat by sitting straight down or by jumping and wrapping the legs around the opponent.
Once the opponent is on the ground, a number of maneuvers (and counter-maneuvers) are available to manipulate the opponent into a suitable position for the application of a submission technique. Achieving a dominant position on the ground is one of the hallmarks of the BJJ style, and includes effective use of the guard (a signature position of BJJ) position to defend oneself from bottom (using both submissions and sweeps, with sweeps leading to the possibility of dominant position or an opportunity to pass the guard), and passing the guard to dominate from top position with side control, mount, and back mount positions. This system of maneuvering and manipulation can be likened to a form of kinetic chess when used by two experienced practitioners. A submission hold is the equivalent of checkmate in the sport, reflecting a disadvantage which would be extremely difficult to overcome in a fight (such as a dislocated joint or unconsciousness).[/tab]
[tab title=”S2B Muay Thai”]
Muay Thai literally translates into English as Thai Boxing and is also known as The Art of the Eight Limbs. The hands, elbows, shins and knees are all used extensively in this martial art. Muay Thai has a long history in Thailand and is the country’s national sport. Traditional Muay Thai practiced today, varies slightly from the ancient art of Muay Boran, which is an older style of Muay Thai.
As a beginner, you will work on the foundation of Muay Thai, such as foot work drills, punching drills, and kicking drills on pads and heavy bags. Muay Thai is perfect for men, women, and children looking for reliable and practical self-defense with superior cardio conditioning. Muay Thai Boxing will train you like a fighter in every aspect to prepare you for street self defense or full contact sparring for those few that choose to compete.
Intensity is the trademark of a Muay Thai training. Many of the drills are made up of two or three minute rounds, with one minute recovery periods. Strength, speed, endurance, and explosiveness are a natural byproduct of the Muay Thai training.
As a Muay Thai practitioner, you will train with some weights, specialized boxing equipment, and various other training tools to maximize calorie burn to increase lean muscle and reducing body fat.
Muay Thai helps you build mental toughness, which comes from learning to cope with the intense endurance training or other demanding exercises. In the ring and or on the street, Muay Thai is renowned for its crippling leg kicks, razor sharp elbows, and explosive knee strikes. This makes Muay Thai one of the most effective stand up martial arts in the world.[/tab]

This course teaches the Israeli system of Counter-Terror warfare using the semi automatic pistol and assault rifle, as done in the Israel Defense Forces Duvdevan unit . The Israeli method is one that puts human ability and programmability at the top of its training priorities. Students are taught to use their natural instincts matched with motor memory to react to the stimulus and neutralize the treat. Students learn Israeli methods to include; Firearm nomenclature, Proper weapon clearing safety procedures, Body position for optimum stability, Drawing techniques for urban concealment, Point on target aiming and proper sight alignment, Trigger control, Rapid magazine changes, Techniques for weapon manipulations and instant jam corrections, Closing distance methods, Multiple target acquisition, Entering unsecured areas and much more.

[tab title=”Israeli Tactical Knife”]
The Israeli Tactical Knife Program is restricted to law enforcement, military and approved civilians. This program teaches use of the knife as a defensive tool and as an offensive weapon (for military). ITK covers all facets of using a knife against an assailant who is also armed with a knife from effective deployment strategies to using reverse grip tactics to draw the attacker into an effective counterattack. Knife-fighting training is an excellent way to develop a keen understanding of how a knife is used in an attack. It is also a great way to develop a sense of the flow of an assault with a knife, improve footwork for all programs, and improve recognition of knife motion and patterns. All of this not only serves to turn students into effective knife fighters, but also importantly helps students greatly enhance their ability to “read” the existence and direction of travel of a knife being used against them. This is a critical ability to possess and to develop for the empty hand versus knife tactics taught in the F.I.G.H.T. program.

[tab title=”Ground Survival”]
The Ground Survival program covers the principles and tactics of defending and attacking from the ground. This program will train to defend from the typical positions including mount, guard and side. Defense against grappling, street fighting tactics and armed ground attacks are included. Drills are used to enhanced students agility on the ground while under stress, preparing you to succeed in a tactically challenge environment while using sound tactics to retun to a standing position.

[tab title=”Combat Wrestling”]
Combat Wrestling is aggressive in its approach. This system was originally developed by John Clarke , which combines techniques from all the three wrestling styles (Folk , Freestyle, and Greco Roman) to create an easily integrated program. It stresses the use of Greco Roman Wrestling for close quarter combat. We have also utilized all aspects of sport wrestling’s ground control positions for ground and pound and scramble ability. Combat Wrestling is truly the missing link for Military / Law Enforcement training and reality fighting systems.[space10]
